Thanks...I am sure this is common knowledge to many...but it is just not something that I paid attention to. As I search out options I see the 4 prongs that you have pointed out...only makes sense as our waste outlet has the four nubs.
I do like that some are designed with a strain relief section that should allow extra flex as I have pointed to in a few of the photos.
I think I will be going with the Prince Auto unit as it has that feature and also can be used in half length mode...plus has some extra stuff.

Yes...twice as hard maybe...however I hope the little strain relief holes that I pointed out will allow flex more than the solid black unit I posted with no extra flex holes.

Friction, smicktion!
Lube it with some silicone grease, see if it matters, and call me in the morning.
There's just not a lot of friction surface to matter, but enough that a little lubrication would make easier, even with the 4 prong design.
Today, I had to use some Teflon spray to re-insert an AC vent flap back on the overhead into place, that I repaired after a hinge pin broke on it. No go without lubrication, duck soup with a mist of Teflon. I am a believer in thin film behaviors.
Say hallelujah!

Habberdabber, how did you repair? I broke one (little tabs) and it has been that way ever since. I think domestic quoted something like $25 for a replacement. Let 'er blow was my solution so far.

Epoxy
The plastic post hinge pin on 1 side snapped off on the vent flap. I epoxied a tiny wood stir stick dowel (about the correct diameter needed) in the old spot after filing the spot flat. I then filed a little at the base when the epoxy was hardened. Eyeballed the vertical position and cut to height when cured. Overnight curing is best.
I did have to lube with Teflon to snap in place.

New Sewer Hose for Eggscape
The Short Story...I got a new heavy duty sewer hose...whoop-pee.
The Details...With one of my factory hose prongs broken, I would just like to update with a few pictures of the Camco hose kit that I picked up at Princess Auto. It is available at many stores including some Walmart’s where, if in stock, is a little cheaper.
I like this hose as it has well designed 4 prong ends that appear to be made out of a quality material. You actually get two complete hoses should one break or if you only need to use half the length. There are plenty of extra caps to solve any containment problems.

When a prong broke I just got a new end piece to use on the same hose. Don't want another end on the hose that goes into the drain either as it makes stowing in the tube difficult, if not impossible.

Sewer Cap Handle
The Short Story...I installed a nylon dock cleat on the dump pipe cap to form a handle.
The Details...Months ago the topic came up about some dump caps being hard to remove. There were many solutions to ease the problem, one of which was the use of silicon lubricant. This helps but I know there are persons out there for whom this is still difficult. People with arthritis, bad backs, knees, etc., all need the best possible solution to make life easier and to enjoy their trailer.
Doing a little thinking I came up with an easy and inexpensive way to add a large handle to that cap. By adding a nylon dock cleat that is available at many hardware stores, you can get a better two handed grip on the cap to twist it off. Failing that, you can also insert a screwdriver to add more leverage. I know some are going to say never to do that as you could apply to much pressure. I agree, but this option is available for those who need it. When you have severe arthritis, there is seldom the circumstance of too much pressure.
Since I had the time and to limit my exposure during these times, I purchased on line for under $6 all in, Canadian from Ali Express. The main reason is that it gave me the exact dimensions of the many sizes available to choose from. This is important so that the handle clears the valves around it. Most stores available locally to me had no dimensions of their product on line and I was not spending a good part of a day driving around to physically measure if it was optimal.
I selected a cleat that has what I call a base on it so it better supports the cleat on the cap. The basic design of a cleat is such that the attachment points fall within the inner circle of the cap. Mine came with stainless steel screws and I used locking nuts because I had them.
I hope this little mod can help many as we grow older with our beloved Escapes.

That is a very good idea. I can turn ours on the 21 pretty easily but when we had the 19 it always got very tight. This would work well for sure. I’m going to install one on ours just in case.
Thank you

Love this! Looks like maybe I’m not the only one who has trouble turning those huge caps!
Thanks, your tips and tricks are always on-point

Thanks all.
Originally I want to design something to aid in using the sewer hose as well. However when I was looking into buying a new hose I came across these orange sewer hose wrenches. Once I saw these there was no reason to reinvent the wheel. The price varies a lot for the same product.
There are also caps with reasonably sized handles...but what fun is that.
