Last 15' built?

Just looked at Reace's 2009 thread of making the mold for the 15s. Interesting how he modified the 17 to do this.
Is there a way to find out when the last 15 was built?
Dec 2014 is date of manufacture of our 15A. Curious to know how many were built after ours started rolling down the road.

There was a time towards the end of the year, what year I’m not sure but maybe 2014 or 2015 when Escape built out the last of the 15s and had like three of them for sale.

Reace or Tammy posted basically “when they are gone they are gone for good, and they were. If I remember correctly it took a while to sell them, maybe 6 weeks or so. Someone will post the 13s and 15s total Number produced I’m sure. One rally there were two 13s there both parked down by the lake. We looked at one of them. I don’t use this word often but the 13 was “cute”.

Here ya go!

ETI made: sixteen 13As and nine 13Bs = 25 (2008-2010), fifty-seven 15As and forty-seven 15Bs = 104 (2010-2015)

Reace told me once that the smaller units were harder to build ......trying to fit everything inside a smaller shell.

What happened to the old molds? That’s always a mystery question with lots of conjecture. Thanks Donna. Good question for Escape Bingo Trivia.

THANKS Donna!
Good to know the 15s ended in 2015. I should be able to remember that (for awhile anyway.)

I don't, someone else may. I do know ETI started manufacturing the 5.0 in 2007 and the last was built late spring 2014 when the first 5.0TA started rolling off the line. Tammy said the 5.0TA was the fastest selling model in their history with about 15 pre-orders before the molds were even completed.

Yah, and remember the long wait because of a problem getting the molds finished.

Some folks were positively swooning during the wait.

How did you locate the 2009 thread about the modified 17 mold

Wow, they squeezed a bathroom in a 13? Some day I'll get to a rally.

Yes they did. Upfront. Several all molded manufacturers have squeezed bathrooms into a 13' trailer. For instance, ECO, Scamp and Casita.

I believe the Escape 13b’s just had a toilet, no shower.

The 15A...still the best trailer Tammy and Reace built. But then I'm not prejudiced at all.

Yes, we had a Scamp 13 with the front bathroom. Fully functional with shower.

Since Escape and Casita no longer make 13’s, we seriously looked at a Scamp 13, but it always came back to small fridge and after all of these years we really wanted a separate bed and table like we used to have in our Bigfoot pickup camper. The E17 could work, but we decided we still wanted a bigger fridge like the Bigfoot, and preferred 7’ to 6”8’ wide trailers. So we wound up with a 19. We thought about the two 21 choices, but didn’t like the narrower bed in one choice, and already felt the size of a 19 was palatial. Different things work for different folks, but if I were single, I do think a 13 would work.

We outgrew the make the table into a bed routine in boats decades before. We tried it in the Scamp 13 but it got old quick.

Ron
All my boats were either too small to have a table, or big enough there was a separate bed. I currently have a Catalina 18 MkII; hence, no table. Our last trailer had a murphy bed that stayed made up, but covered the table when in use. That’s when we remembered why we wanted a separate bed and table. Even that compromise was too much. However, a 13’ trailer does have its advantages.

We love or 15 B.

It’s real easy to go down the road with a lot of extra stuff ya don’t need. Our 15 keeps it real.
Since we got it (3 rd owners) we have not one thing not work. It’s just a well built great little trailer.
