I can't do streaming here. Not enough bandwidth. If they are building Cocktails, as you imply, then we are talking about weapons.

I have absolutely nothing against that post, but do we not have 'weapon' rules as well as political?

Could we have a discussion about the best weapon for defense when traveling?
Nonsense. It was a link to a news story. If you think moderators are being unfair, please private message us. The forum is not the place to discuss it.

And NO, they weren't building Molotov cocktails... or using them... in that link. I mentioned I had watched a vid about it, but it wasn't what I linked.

I was taught, if someone recommends a book, or magazine article, or video or movie, it would be best if I don't respond unless I actually take the time and effort to read/watch what was mentioned. DO NOT ASSUME.

Please set up the guidelines for discussing gas prices separate from political decisions which are made with respect to the price of crude oil.

Should we just talk about the best deals at Costco or on I-81 through Virginia?

How enlightening would that be?

Hmmm
Let’s sum it all up. Gasoline and diesel are high right now.
Price varies from state to state and street corner to street corner.
As of late they have been going up and down like a yo-yo, mostly up.
Different folks are impacted differently.
Al least we can still buy all we can afford in America and Canada.
That’s all I got.

No need.

The rules for the forum are already posted. Here is an excerpt for the subject at hand:

"Discussions about politics, weaponry and religion are permitted only in association with the topic of this forum. Discussions, statements and images that are political in nature or that reference general government policies, weaponry, gun rights and religion are not allowed in ANY areas of the forum."

We either have a forum that's non-partisan, welcoming, helpful and friendly, or we don't. The very survival of the forum depends on keeping it as non-partisan and friendly as possible. There are lots of forums where political debate, arguments and so forth are encouraged. Not here.

I find it a great thing that on this forum I can discuss all things Escape with another forum member who might be the complete political opposite of me, and yet we can still be fast friends. That's only possible because of the boundaries.

FYI, you are ignoring context and being ridiculous. Get a grip.

So if I post a link to a story does that make it now ok, I can come up with a few…

About 14 months ago I noticed many on here were very concerned about good campsites becoming difficult to find. Me thinking it doesn’t take Nostradamus to see this one, I mentioned to not worry about it, that in the very near future gas prices would skyrocket and the Rv rush would eventually be slowing down. I said most of the people in the income bracket able afford an Escape would benefit from the rising fuel prices, many people wouldn’t be able to do much traveling.

It went over about as well as anyone addressing the obvious here, you can’t have it both ways…

Forbes 2/23/2022

Can you supply the source for these figures, or a link to the source?

CBC reports here that Canada hasn't imported any Russian crude since 2019, however we are banning importation of Russian crude.

My plan is to make my tow vehicle as efficient as possible (fresh spark plugs, new tires kept properly inflated, and fresh oil), and to see how much better I can plan my camping/looking around to minimize the amount of actual driving I am doing. I may back off the throttle a little in the truck when I can.
